I love discovering hidden gems while vacationing in our home province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Sansome’s in Hillgrade, about 20 minutes outside Twillingate was certainly a gem. We lucked out with the weather while discovering the Twillingate region in August , it was fantastic. We visited many small communities during our visit , while driving back to home base we saw a sign advertising a Lobster pool, so we had to explore , and we were not disappointed .
Location Location!!Location!! (second time saying this!) the dockside dining was rustic and charming at the same time.
Friendly and welcoming servers , on our second visit as we took some home with us. We got to chat with the owner, a charming lady who gave us a small tour and told us the background of the restaurant.
Scenic, this region of the province is breathtaking and eating basically on the water was authentic .
Fresh seafood , home cooked style
No low points, just watch out for the gulls
